identity crisis

I apologize if I haven't written anything as of now. To be frank, I had no intention to write tonight as well, but I couldn't sleep. I did not expect that my teacher would give a remark that could make me lose sleep. We handed in our career survey yesterday. She asked me to see her in her office. And then she told me that being an exorcist isn't really a career, to the strictest sense, and that I should carefully plan my future. I told sensei that I would inherit the dojo as the next head, and that my future is set. She went as far as calling the household for a visit! This means that I have to go home to meet her there. Sigh. How troublesome. Sensei is really serious about this, huh? I didn't know that she was hardworking.

Anyway, I know that it's my life. My decisions are what matter in the end. But what if mother and father realize this, and for some twist of fate, object and tell me to become something else, what would be that something else? What else am I good for? I'm not sure as well. Keitaro-senpai, Narusegawa-senpai, they know what they want to become and they're already working hard on it. Kitsune-san, as lazy as she is, she's already a novelist. Shinobu-chan knows she a great cook and she'll probably open her own restaurant someday. Kaolla-chan is still young and she invents a lot of things -- or she'll eventually go back to her kingdom. Either way, she's already settled because she's royalty. Kana-chan knows how to manage and she'll eventually start her own inn or something. But what else do I have if not for being an exorcist?
